It's dainty yet has a good weight and the ceramic is smooth all the way around. Absolutely beautiful metallic gold detail!!! I keep this set on the bathroom shelf to hold my jewelry while I shower. I get compliments on it every time I have company. Very happy with it.This trinket dish set is very cute. I love that the sun dish fits into the moon dish. It is also surprisingly sturdy and well made.I plan to use it to display some of my crystals.Note: make sure to check the measurements, it is quite small.Even though I saw someone’s hands touching this in a video – it is still smaller than I thought it would be in person. It is very pretty, though. Simple yet stylish. I actually got it to use with a candle and rocks. I have left the little sun plate right along in the hole of the moon on my coffee table. The sun now holds a votive candle. It fits very nicely and feels like it is secure and will not slide around. I can still see some of the pattern from the sun at the edges of the candle holder but the holder takes up most of the plate. I do wish I could see the whole sun – but that would defeat my purpose. Then I put some small tumbled and rough natural rocks and stones in the moon plate. It looks so nice when lit – and even when not lit. Very serene and peaceful. Looks like that is what it was actually made for too! So do not be afraid to think outside of the box in what you can use it for. : )Enjoy your day! : )
