For the most part I really love this basket, but one potential design choice has me concerned about longevity. To simplify assembly they chose to weld a threaded rod at each end of the top pole and have the poles screw together, sandwiching the basket in the process. This strategy might end up working just fine, but you should never underestimate the power of leverage over time. The threaded rod is undersized for this task in my opinion, and especially as water inevitably starts entering into the joints and rusting welds I'm expecting something to give. These welds, while good, are not perfectly lined up, so there is a slight angle where they meet - not a deal breaker but an expected casualty of this particular process. I would have preferred a threaded sleeve the full inner width of the pole if screwing it together was their strategy, but my other practice baskets use a simple cotter pin to "bolt" the poles together which I prefer because is quick, strong, and simple. That aside, the basket has some great features too. The frame is sturdy, the chains are heavy, and it catches well. They offset the inner chains to hit the gaps of the outer chains to catch better, which is thoughtful and has a somewhat artistic quality as the pattern is actually quite pretty if you look at it, and they extended the pattern to the basket for no reason other than to keep the aesthetic, which is a nice touch. While potentially a pro and a con for some users, this basket is LOUD. It has a very satisfying "ching" which will thrill you from a distance if you get a long ace, but could irritate the neighbors if you're in a suburban putting practice setting (though most good baskets will do this too). The included discs... are free discs. The plastic is cheap, but they fly well enough. If this is your first step into the sport of disc golf they will serve you well enough until you can actually understand why you might want different ones. I'll probably leave them outside with the basket so I always have something ready to chuck on a whim.Overall, we'll see if my construction concerns pan out... I could be worried about nothing. If it breaks I'll try to remember to update this review. Besides that it is far superior to my older Pacific Outdoors / Instep practice baskets and I'd give it a 5 star rating if I was more confident it will be with me as long as they have been.My son has recently taken a liking to disc golf. We bought this for him for Christmas so he could practice at home. We feel this is excellent quality. The chains are heavy and catch discs well. My husband had it assembled in no time. Highly recommend this for other disc golf enthusiasts. While the discs that come with it aren’t great, I’m very happy with the basket. The metal hooks are the main reason I bought this one and they are a must if you’re going to set it up on a sloping location like we did (these baskets are pretty top-heavy). The chains give an extremely satisfying clink when you make it in, and they are very grabby (even throwing as hard as I can, they’ll usually stay in). And it’s nice that I can leave it outside even in winter without any issues, but quickly break it down if I want to take it somewhere. I’m glad I paid a little extra for this course-quality basket (while still being way cheaper than the high-end baskets). Maybe the only thing I can ding it for is that the little plastic piece on top will pop off regularly, but that can probably be resolved with a little adhesive so I don’t run over it with the mower.I have had this basket in my backyard for over 18 months now. I practice on it about 20 minutes a few times a week. It has held up great being in the weather all winter. There is hardly any rust or wear. The paint is holding up good too. Can't beat it for the money.Got it all together but there were no frisbee’s with itThe only thing that’s not that great are the discs but I didn’t expect quality discs anyways. The basket works great and was super easy to assemble and move around in the yard. Would recommend this basketSimple assembly, portable and sturdy! The chains are nice and strong. No wobble or movement of the basket even when throwing solid shots. Great value for a home practice basket.I have assembled and reassembled this basket six or seven times. It takes me about three minutes. When I take it to the local park, I assemble the frame separately from the chain hoop. This makes it much easier to carry with the post and basket in one hand, chain hoop (the heaviest part), in the other. It’s very solid, I have yet to have to use the anchoring pins. Stands firm all by itself. No problems with the finish or manufacturing. Excellent design at a great price. I like the fact it has the band across the top, so in practice is exactly like the baskets at the local course.
