Very nice halter. I ordered 2 Yearling size halters. When they arrived I thought they looked kinda small the tag said Pony size. Unfortunately they will be returned.I ordered this for my granddaughter to match some of her other stuff that was a bright green and black. In the picture it looks like the green color is very vibrant but when I received it the Color was a very very light lime green and did not match at all. Looks like it is made well but I ordered it for the color. Was very disappointed that it didn’t come at all close to the color it is in the picture.I'm back - purchasing the same halter 5 years later for my QH X Clyde. We love him in this black and green halter and the snaps are JUST NOW loose and not clasping all the way so we're here for a new one. The break away strap is great to keep him from getting hurt in sticky situations but will hold up if they are just being silly. Don't hesitate! BUY IT!This safety halter just arrived and I am very impressed. Needed to have a halter for our horse to wear in the pasture as he has been loose twice this fall when moose broke through the fence. Since I've never haltered him when he's unattended because of the danger of being injured, it is reassuring to finally replace my old "break away halter" from years past. The neoprene padding on the nose piece is so nice... he won't get "bald halter nose"! The hardware is not top notch, but certainly, for the price you can't expect stainless steel, now, can you? . I was not familiar with this brand, but I certainly think it is well worth the money and would definitely buy it again.I don't know why these break away halters are all so big? This just barely fits both of my horses when I have the leather strap on the last hole, both sides. And really, it's still too big. The piece that runs from the cheek to the nose is too long, and the noise band itself is overly large. None of my regular "horse size" halters fit this way. Also, the leather that goes over the crown and constitutes the "breakaway" part is ridiculously thin. I've had horses easily break a stitched leather bridle twice as thick. The leather on these halters stretches out easily, and needs replacing long before it ever breaks. But, I discovered the same thing on the Hamilton, making me think it's the same manufacturer. However, the Hamilton runs even bigger. Not that I am disappointed, but neon green is nowhere near as bright as pictured in the photo. It is more of a mint green. Personally I love it, but I can imagine somebody looking for the brighter color pictured would be disappointed. Bought the cob, horse broke the Breakaway part as intended when something spooked him. The cob was a tiny bit small on him, so instead of ordering a new Crown piece I just bought the full halter. I liked it enough to order a second one, I feel it is a good value.Very good quality. I got the cob size and I would says it runs small. My large pony usually fits cob without much adjustment, but this halter nose band and crown piece had to be let out many holes to fit her. It still works fine and looks good, though. I did not find the crown piece leather to be cheap or overly thin. It is the same as other break away halters I have.A 8 month colt it’s great
