I searched the CR Laurence online catalog and noticed this acrylic soap dish. I was attracted by the clean design - and that it would attach to my shower walls with double sticky tape. (No drilling holes in my new tile.) Well, it does look good but unfortunately it doesn't function at all. The clear plastic soap tray has a number of raised blisters intended to keep the wet soap elevated above the tray. Only a perfectly flat new bar of soap would contact these blisters. So....the soap bar sits in the water that runs off the bar and soon enough you have a gooey mess. The soap bar doesn't have enough air circulation and clearance beneath it for the soap to dry properly. Poor design.If the tray had been designed with multiple elevated "railroad tracks" running the length of the tray - the wet soap would have enough support while it tried.It's also unfortunate to have paid as much as I did - and for it not to function - hurts all the more.
