This is definitely something that could hold up for a long time, but I'm surprised at how sharp the edges are. Don't let your kids or anyone clumsy help with these because they'll likely get cut. That said, they are sturdy and held up well through 2 Thanksgiving dinners so far. We did not use the half pans that came with it, instead we used disposable ones (doubled up) and while the edges had to overlap a bit, it worked fine. Another thing to be careful about is refilling food. If you're taking out one tray and replacing it with another, the sterno fuel still keeps the water hot so you could get scalded if you're not careful.The fuel holders do have adjustable lids so you can control (to some extent) how much heat is coming out. That said, we found that closing them more than half way would pretty much extinguish the flame within a few minutes. So if you're adjusting the cover to control the heat, I'd check on it to make sure it doesn't extinguish, unless that's what you want.Overall, we're happy with them and will no doubt be using these for years to come.I really like this product. We had trouble with one of the tabs on the tray that holds the heat cans. We could not get it to slide in. We went ahead and used it with one tab on one side, but the 2 tabs on the other attached. Seemed okay. Some have said it is not sturdy, but honestly, if you get all the tabs to snap in on that tray I don't see how it could collapse. Was easy to clean up, kept food nice and hot, looked nice. Cleaning tip: for the bottom trays if you use a damp paper towel, and a little bit of bartender's friend the spots from the heat can come right off with very little to no effort.Exactly what I was looking for. The pan's are very sturdy, the stands are sturdy as well. I baked macaroni and cheese in the pans with no problem and the pans clean up as well as any other stainless pan. I'm very happy with my purchase.We easily have 6 gatherings a year so finally decided to purchase nicer chafing dishes. I really like that these come with a foldable base for easy storage, definitely a convenience. What surprised me with this dish was that it came with BOTH the full size tray and the 2 half trays!! Made it so much easier to go from appetizers to entree without having to wash out the pans or purchase an extra chafing dish. I also like that it has a place to prop the lid while serving. Really easy to assemble, just a note that the tray to hold the fuel cans is meant to be flat with the table and not propped up on the legs. I gave it 4 stars vs 5 because it does have a ever so slight wobble, barley noticeable once the weight of food is in it, but it is there. Also, the box states that there was supposed to be a slotted spoon included, but it was not. I didn't mind since it also wasn't supposed to come with the full tray, so I definitely appreciate the full and half trays vs a spoon! Also, the trays wash up nicely and all set for the next party.This is as general as they come. Doesn’t get much better when comparing same items in this price range. Worked as expected kept food warmers all day. Looks just like the ones I night from restaurant store. All they would have had to do is take care when it was packaged. I would have returned but I needed to use it for the function I bought it for.The flexibility of transporting them is such a convenience. The product is very sturdy. It is definitely worth the price; I will be purchasing another set soon.The pans are ok but not as thick as I'm used to. The base is very flimsy and does not sit evenly on a flat surface. I will not purchase any more from the company.
