I just got these new ones, I wanted something to provide my feet better protection than the open toe waterproof sandals I purchased a few years ago of this brand, for walking in lakes and streams with my dogs. Although those earlier sandals have held up well. I think the size is pretty much spot on. I wear a 12, or a 12 1/2 on the rare occasions I find that size. I got a 12 in these and that is the proper size for me. If they run slightly large, it is just slight, so don't worry about it, order the size you normally wear.SIX MONTHS LATER: Dropped my rating to three stars. They are not very durable in the sole, they have a honey cone support structure under the soles, and that broke at the heels, causing a sinking. I will put some shoe goo in there and hopefully they will be usable. I am not overweight, and I did not wear them all that much, this is just a very bad design in terms of durability, even if it does give you a softer ride. If the shoe goo works I will re-evaluate and edit this again.LATER: Raised rating to five again, considering the price and what they give you. The shoe goo worked fine, just be aware that you likely will have to do the repair to give them more life when the heel collapses. I just filled up the honey cone cavities under the heel and lightly clamped the sole down.They are very comfortable, and give your toe protection. But I would say mostly good walking about, not really a heavy duty shoe like a Keen for hiking trails and streams. But for the price, you get a lot.
