After hiking most of Ireland in timberlands I injured my foot pretty badly while climbing some abandoned castles the limping caused a blister on my right toe and I was only 4 days into a 15 day hiking trip so I swapped to what we’re supposed to be “water shoes” they were comfortable enough to hike the rest of the trip with an injured foot and a blister through rocky, rainy, muddy, and mountainous Terrain. 10/10 and yes I wore socks and sandals it kept my feet warm. Never thought I would like sandals as much as a did and the arch support was phenomenal. Will let you know in about 30 daysI’ve worn these on long hikes and my feet feel great. I’ve only had them a few weeks, but so far zero signs of wear.Better than expected. I overpronate ("flat feet"), so arch support is important. I've had good results with Birkenstock Milano sandals with the cork deck and wanted to see if I could find something cheaper that had still good ergonomics and quality. Looks like I may have!- Fit: as described in the fitting chart. I normally wear a US men's 10.5-11.5 shoe, but ordered the 10 sandal because that's what the measurement said. Fit is perfect, just a little extra room since I decided to choose the larger of the two sizes that matched the measurements. A little margin all around the foot but nowhere near enough to get in the way. Looking at the listing now, 9.5 is the largest offered. That would probably be adequate, but hopefully it's just temporary and they'll get more 10s in stock.- Feel: so far, it beats the Milano on feel, support, and weight. The foot deck feels like a bed of smooth pebbles, excellent texture that should promote airflow and good cushioning. I can't tell if the deck is leather or synthetic, it's a suede-feel material. Arch support is adequate - I could use a touch more, but it's better than most and my ridiculous flappy duck feet should not be considered anyone's baseline. Weight is just a touch more than a set of good leather flip-flops, and feels lighter because of the three-point straps. Much lighter feel than the Birkenstocks.- Quality: I'm not a shoeologist or nothin', but the materials and construction look very good on first inspection. The straps look like they're double-stitched on the seams, the sole cups the foot deck instead of sitting flat under it, the fasteners appear strong, and I'm pretty sure I caught a leather whiff when I opened the box. The straps and possibly even the foot deck appear to be real leather. I can't pass judgement on long-term wear until I wear them long-term, but they look and feel very sturdy on first inspection. For 1/3 the price of the Birkenstocks, I'll take it.Easy to put them on and take outThe hiking sandals are a good fit and comfortable. I deducted a star, however, because the material used in the finish layer of the sole (where the footbed meets the sandal) started to peel away behind the heel after only a few wearings. This was disappointing. The rest of the sandal is holding up well, and there is good support. My husband wears these sandals for city hiking about 2-3x/week.These are a big upgrade from my usual pair of sandals from Ross. Much more solid, more support and even though I haven't had them that long, I can say they seem like they are going to last. So, I really liked these sandals I typically buy one size down if they dont have the 10.5 I wear in most boots. I ordered sz 11 in these (after reading a handful of reviews) but just too big for my intended purposes of water tromping so back they went with another order for 10s (no 10.5) If you wear heavy wools socks with sandals then it would of been ok ( i sometimes do in winter). These camel crowns are well built with the added benefit of a single sole with the upper footbed appearing molded but may have been glued. My last pair of camel crowns where the bumper toe model, those things were hardcore lasting me 2 years and still hanging in there but had to re-glue the bi laminate soles. If they made this thicker sole with a closed toe id buy 4 pairs or so!I ordered a size down (an 8 1/2 instead of 9),much too large and so, returned them, ordering two sizes down (an 8), and still they're a bit too big! The size I need is a 7 1/2, which they don't offer. . . . The Velcro straps are too long, making it impossible to cinch the sandal tightly. (Why isn't there a size 7.5 ? I normally take a size 8.5 The 8 I received on my second, replacement order is still too big for me. How many times do I have to return the sandals?Great product great price very pleasedMe gustó que el producto es tal como lo describen.
